Opening Reception Saturday, November 12, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm
Artists will be present to talk about their various approaches throughout the opening.
Wine, hors d’oeuvres and music by Tom Maeda will accompany the art.
Complimentary parking provided.

CALL FOR ART

Instructions for Email Submission

EXHIBITION:    Shadows and Reflections
LOCATION:      University House Wallingford (UHW)
DATE:                February 16, 2012 to June 18, 2012    
DEADLINE:       November 1, 2011

“Shadows and Reflections” seeks work that explores the intangible and ephemeral aspects of light affecting the physical world and underlying references mined from the theme.   Submit work that is available to exhibit.  If new work is made for the theme and not complete for submission, please note that in your email.   Accepted work will primarily be wall hung with a maximum of 42” on the longest side and must be ready to install with a hanging wire; 3-D maximum size 20”x20”x20”.  All media accepted, excluding those that require electricity.  The curator reserves the right to refuse any work upon installation that does not follow installation guidelines or differs from the selected images.

PLEASE FOLLOW ALL SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS BELOW and SUBMIT IN ONE EMAIL: 

Late or incomplete submissions and improperly labeled jpegs will NOT be juried.

1.       Email submissions to:  curator@junesekiguchi.com

2.       To track email correspondence, type the exhibition title and your name in the subject line of your email       “UHW Shadows and Reflections:  Your Name”

3.       Give ALL the following information:
·         Your Name
·         Email
·         Phone

4.       Attach up to six (6) jpegs of your artwork to that same email
                Use the following Jpeg format instructions:
·         Each Jpeg should be saved at 72 dpi
·         Use maximum image size of 1200px on the longest dimension
·         Limit each jpeg to a maximum file size of 2MG
·         LABEL JPEG WITH YOUR NAME AND TITLE OF ART WORK

5.       Include an art work list with the following details for EACH jpeg
·         Title
·         Medium
·         Size H” x W” x D” (w/frame if applicable)
·         Price or Insurance Value if NFS (not for sale)

 Attach resume/bio and artist statement (total of 3 pages maximum)    
                   
The artist receives 100% from sales at Era Living locations – no commission is taken.  Sales are made directly between you and your client.  Postcards are generated for each show and promotional material sent to print and online media sources.  Opening receptions are held for each exhibition and artist talks may be scheduled.
